JHG Wedding Q & A answered by the wedding couple:

Q: Describe your wedding in a few paragraphs.
We wanted to do a simple but fun wedding that our guests will enjoy. Since I am from
Japan, we wanted to include a touch of Japan in our wedding. We wanted to show our guests about the beauty of Japan’s 4 seasons so we made it our wedding theme. We made a slideshow of photos of our pre-nup shots taken for each season (winter, spring, summer and fall) in Japan. We also displayed actual pictures of our KIMONO pre-nup taken in Japan. It doesn’t have to be the most beautiful and most expensive wedding, but overall our wedding was more beautiful than I dreamed it would be, and the best day ever!

Q: What was it like to have JHG photography on your day?
Both of us are not photogenic and we rarely have good photos, this is actually a
frustration. But with JHG taking the shots, we were confident that JHG can capture our best moments and looks and create great (and artistic) pictures out of them. We never had to worry about how our pictures will be, we just had fun, enjoying the moment while having our pictures taken. Also JHG was very helpful in following up and providing tips days before we have a shoot.
Q: What was the most memorable part of your photography experience with Joel & Ma-anne?
Their creativity and how they took photo of all our details. And of course their great service with passion.

Q: Any advice to offer new brides and grooms to-be?
- Get enough sleep before the wedding!
- Spend more time planning. Challenge your suppliers and regularly check status/planning of the wedding details to make sure your expectations are met and no surprises (disappointments) on the wedding day itself.

Q: What was the weather like?
It was a perfect sunny day.

Q: What was the funniest thing that you remember happening?
It was during our grand entrance to the reception venue, we went through the door,
dancing to the tune of Sugar (by Maroon5) and heading to the front stage. After moving just a few steps I realized something was wrong. –My petticoat got unhooked from my inner dress, hence I couldn’t move at all. Marvin ended up dancing a few more minutes than initially planned. This was our own wedding blooper.

Q: What characteristics of the ceremony made your event most unique to you two as a couple?
Having actual pictures of the 4 seasons and the mini-movie we played before our entrance, both of those I think are rare in the Philippines, if not unique. We also put a lot of effort in making those two.

Q: What do you remember most about the Ceremony?
That ‘kilig’ feeling you get before you walk down the aisle to marry your dream man.

Q: What was your favorite part about the photographs and what ended up being your favorite photo?
We haven't seen all the photos yet so I can't decide for now but we're sure it will be
difficult to choose as they would all be great pictures.

Q:What was the best moment of the night (funniest, most heart-warming, and most
memorable)?
- (Marvin) Seeing Erisa crying while walking down the aisle and hearing my mom's speech, these two moments had me teary-eyed

Q:Besides the “getting married” part, what was the most vivid memory of your wedding day? (bride’s perspective)
Actually saying the vows. You hear them many times at other weddings, but something never quite sink in about just how serious a commitment it is, or how exciting it is to say them and make that promise to the person you care for so much.

Q:Looking back, what’s one thing you’d change about your wedding (could be to do with planning, the actual day, etc.)
We would have put more time to do photo shoot around the venue before the start of
reception and after. Also I would have put more time in planning the venue styling to
make sure it comes out as we imagined it to be.

Q:What part of the day do you want to do again and why?

The whole thing, as the whole day was really like a dream...Seeing all of the hard work come together. Seeing all of our friends and family having a great time and laughing... We really want to do it one more time.
