For me, shooting a photograph is like a gamble.
A risk to take. A decision to make. This photograph is a fleeting moment, between a couple who embrace in the street of Amsterdam.
I waited for the precise moment to let my various elements (street passers-by) aligned to my composition before I decided to capture the moment. It's a gamble that I waited for the right moment and when my elements in my frame aligned according to my visualization that's the time I took this photograph!
I'm glad that the embrace lasts for a few seconds before they walk away from the light. I could just capture the embrace alone in the street, but adding elements in my frame can add authenticity, dynamic to my photograph.
