Subic Watercraft Venture | Aljon & Erlyn Engagement Session

Aljon & Erlyn is a living proof that long-distance relationship can work. They have only been together for one year and eight months, but they believe that relationship is all about communication, respect, trust and love.  It’s a totally different ball game when you’re thousands of miles apart. Aj is currently based in the US and Erlyn is based here in Manila. The intense highs (spending an entire weekend together) combined with the deep lows (tearing up on your flight home) can create a total roller coaster of emotions; and you typically only put yourself through that if you know it’s worth it.

Their engagement session was held in a Yacht in Subic, we were blessed with a good weather and an amazing lighting. We explored various angles and perspective around the Yacht based on their outfits and interactions.

At first they were very shy, so we had to warm them up before we sail away. We started our session first at the dock and as one of our goals is to make our couple feel appreciated and comfortable, we explained to them that they are allowed to talk and to move throughout the poses & shoot since most people think that they have to stay relatively still because it’s a picture that’s being taken.  But if you just take a moment to explain that this is not the case, you’ll give them the freedom to laugh and talk without the fear that they’re ruining the shot.  Eventually Aj and Erlyn felt more relaxed and confident throughout the session. 

To Aj & Erlyn, no one deserves this perfect day more than the two of you.  We hope these photographs bring lots of beautiful memories of you together that will last a lifetime.
