A Tripod, a Monopod & a Walking Stick. | Benro Travel Angel II Triple Transfunctional Carbon Fiber Tripod

I bought  lot of tripods in the past, my first tripod the Velbon Tripod lost in the hills of Kyushu, Japan when I joined the Canon Photo Clinic a few years ago, I was chasing a beautiful morning light when I decided to put down my tripod and run to an amazing scenery, when I turned around I can't remember where did I place the tripod. = (

My second tripod is a Manfrotto I got a good memories and lots of travels with this great tripod, then one day the main Tripod lock grip got loose thread, It is still usable but I can't raise the center column to the maximum height anymore.  That's the time I look around for a replacement.

I went to this shop and find this particular tripod, for me all tripods in the market are all the same in terms of functions and usage.  But I was impressed with the versatility of this tripod. The Benro Travel Angel II C1692TBO Triple Transfunctional Carbon Fiber Tripod.

It can convert into a full size monopod, a compact monopod and a walking stick with wooden knob and integrated compass. Talk about versatility, I never seen a tripod  before with such various capabilities just like this transfunctional tripod. The tripod legs can be inverted and folded back 180 deg. making it small enough to carry just about anywhere.  I bought the bigger version Travel Angel 2 C1692TBO because I felt like it will support my camera load capacity needs and height preferences well than the smaller one. If ever I need more stability I'll just  carry a plastic shopping bag and fill it with stones to hang on the spring hook if such occasions occur and you'll have a rock solid support.

I find the The supplied head in this kit is kinda complicated for me ha ha ha.  The release has a safety feature which needs a pull and second turn of knob to fully release. There seems to be no practical reason to do this and it impedes speed of release.  There is overkill on the friction too with two knobs to control the friction of angle adjustment the quick release knob is the same size as the main angle lock so you could easily get confused and turn the wrong one.  The smooth of movement is very good and it's easy to adjust from portrait to vertical shooting or make minor adjustments to angle in either format.

This Travel Angel II Kit includes a B0 Double Action Ball Head with PU-50 Arca-Swiss quick release plate. Made from magnesium alloy components the ball head has separate pan and position control and a separate drag adjustment control knob. The head has an integrated bubble level.  Tripod comes equipped with screw-in rubber feet and screw-in stainless steel spiked feet in Manfrotto you need to buy it separately.

Nobody solicit me to write a blog about this tripod, I bought this product with my own hard earned money I'm just amazed with what this product can do for me in the field and share the info to my fellow photographers.  I love to travel and shoot landscapes at the same time, I can use this tripod a lot in my Wedding Shoot specially  for creative stuffs and sometimes for video fusion too.
Value For Money : This is quite an expensive tripod but I love the versatility of this tripod a lot. Portable & Solid!

Compact design | Light weight | Monopod | Walking pole | Versatility | Reversing centre column

Great All around Tripod!
